It is demonstrated that English Manga is very easy for students to read and understand because it originates from their first language's culture and offers visual cues to facilitate the comprehension of the story. It is also claimed that reading Manga gives students an unparalleled opportunity to familiarize themselves with diverse colloquial expressions in English. Thus Manga is shown to be quite suitable for an extensive reading program, where reading for pleasure is the first and foremost priority.
