Both vectors efficiently disrupted Wx mRNA function among 96-100% of transgenic rice, and the degrees of Wx gene suppression at WRI-B/Wxb endosperms were weaker than that of WRI-A/Wxb endosperms. These results clearly showed the Wx promoter regulates endosperm specific RNAi.
