As the self-incompatibility in Brassica issporophytically controlled, the phenotype of the pollen is determined by the genotype of the plant, from which the pollenis derived. When there is a dominant/recessive relationship between SP11/SCR alleles, the expression of the recessiveSP11/SCR is suppressed.
