Protein content varied from 5.3 % to 7.8 % , and positively correlated withthe nitrogen content of the soil of 32 fields. Protein content also showed significant correlations with leaf color (SPAD value)from booting stage to harvest, especially high(r=0.920) with those of 10 days after heading.
