However, owing to the experimental difficulties under full-scale conditions, there is a scarcity of usable data regarding the impact pressures and speeds of those avalanches. So the observations of real avalanches were made using a 8 mm video camera at Rogers Pass, British Columbia, Canada. We succeeded to take 12 examples of good pictures of various avalanches.
