The traces of ancient landslide headscarps are represented by the more or less linear arrangement of valleys and geomorphological lineaments. The large ancient headscarps thus restored take the form of an amphitheater and have a dimension of the order of one to several kilometers in diameter. Small scale landslides which occurred in later ages are found in the amphitheaters and around the ancient headscarps. Most of present active landslides occur in the marginal areas of ancient landslides due to reactivation of the colluvial debris and blocks formed by ancient landslides. It is inferred from the relationship between the ancient headscarps and river terraces, and between the headscarps and the red soils which indicate humid and temperate stages in the Japanese Islands since the Middle Pleistocene that ancient landslides began their activity in the Middle Pleistocene to late Pleistocene. Upheavals and block movements since the Middle Pleistocene which have been repeated several times up to the present age in the Niigata district were a major trigger of old mass movements. A large supply of groundwater during interglacial and postglacial epochs associated with the humid and temperate climate contributed to deep weathering and mass movements. Two borings were dug down to about 100m and 150m in the central part of an ancient amphitheatric landslide. Back analysis was carried out for the inferred slip surfaces of the primary, secondary and present landslides. Data from the borings and back analysis show the possibility of ancient primary landslides of a retrogressive type under humid and temperate climatic conditions. The virgin failure might have occurred in the mudstone with the intact undrained shear strength and retrogressive failures with a combination of the intact undrained shear strength and residual undrained shear strength. Secondary and present landslides occurred in the previously disturbed mudstone with the residual shear strength. Old landslides in the Quaternary are closely related to the present activity of landslides. In order to prevent landslide disasters and to plan rational use of those landslide-active hill areas of muddy sediments which experienced intense neotectonic movements under humid and temperate climatic conditions, the analysis of the geologic history of the site and the sequence of landslide occurrences in the Quaternary is indispensable.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_7_full_name_3":{"attribute_name":"著者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"161493","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"Okusa, Shigeyasu"}]},{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"161494","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"Takahama, Nobuyuki"}]},{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"161495","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"Fujita, Yukinori"}]}]},"item_7_publisher_7":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"新潟大学積雪地域災害研究センター"}]},"item_7_select_19":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_select_item":"publisher"}]},"item_7_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00183327","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_7_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"03877892","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"大草, 重康"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"161490","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"高浜, 信行"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"161491","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"藤田, 至則"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"161492","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2019-08-20"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"11_1-8.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"379.2 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"11_1-8.pdf","url":"https://niigata-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/28103/files/11_1-8.pdf"},"version_id":"22d24644-60e8-4f5f-aba6-b625c8c20cca"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Ancient primary landslide","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Present landslide","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Mudstone","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Neotectonics","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Humid Climate","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Retrogressive failare","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"旧期初生的地すべり","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"現在の地すべり","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"泥岩","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"ネオテクトニクス","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"湿潤気候","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"進行性破壊","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"日本の第三系堆積盆地における地すべりの歴史 (故大草重康教授追悼号)","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"日本の第三系堆積盆地における地すべりの歴史 (故大草重康教授追悼号)"},{"subitem_title":"日本の第三系堆積盆地における地すべりの歴史 (故大草重康教授追悼号)","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"7","owner":"1","path":["456","1572"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2016-03-04"},"publish_date":"2016-03-04","publish_status":"0","recid":"28103","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["日本の第三系堆積盆地における地すべりの歴史 (故大草重康教授追悼号)"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":null},"updated":"2022-12-15T03:58:05.408173+00:00"}
