The liquefaction potential has been closely related with the standard penetration resistance of soils and the effective pressure. As the data of standard penetration resistance is available for the prediction, actual data are used, while the unit weight of the soil is determined from the description of the soil types. Earthquake forces ranged from 0.05 (49gal) to 0.30 (294gal) at the earth surface. The high potential regions of the liquefaction distribute over the nearby part of river at this earthquake force. The result of prediction agrees with the earthquake damage of the Niigata Earthquake (M=7.3, 1964). The greatest surface horizontal seismic coefficient of Niigata Prefecture is ks=0.16 (157gal).}, pages = {37--44}, title = {新潟県における液状化危険度の予測}, volume = {12}, year = {1991} }
