The gasket width in the radial direction was 2mm, 3mm or 5mm. The contact surfaces of the flanges were finished by lathe. To clarify the leakage flow paths between the copper gaskets and the steel flanges, the real contact situation between them was observed by using thin polycarbonate film, 1μm in thickness. The leakage flow in the radial direction ceased at a contact pressure of about 50 MPa. The leakage flow along the lathe-turned groove remained even over 50MPa. The leakage flow rates were calculated by the assumption of laminar flow along the turned groove. The calculated low rates agreed well with the experimental ones obrained from the gas leakage tests. Thus, the contact pressure to reduce the gas leakage rate down to a given range was able to be predicted.}, pages = {308--315}, title = {金属平形ガスケットの密封特性 : ポリカーボネイト薄膜を用いた接触状態の観察}, volume = {51}, year = {2006} }
