A total of 14 ant species belonging to three subfamilies (Myrmicinae, Formicinae and Ponerinae) and 14 genera were collected, and three species (pyramica incerta, Formica hayashi and Lasius productus) were recorded for the first time in Niigata Prefecture. Among the 14 species, C. sauteri was the dominant species, and its nests occupied 74.4% in the whole collected nests. An ant fauna in rotting logs obtained in this study was very similar to the previous study that has been done in Ishikawa Prefecture. The similarity of ant fauna in the two localities may stem from the common nesting habitats.}, pages = {85--96}, title = {新潟県十日町市松之山における朽木に営巣するアリ相}, volume = {2}, year = {2009} }
