 note = {The purpose of this study was to estimate actual condition of mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbance and muscular dystrophy. The subjects were 208 outpatients visited Niigata University Dental Hospital for dental treatment in 1992. The results were as follows; One hundred and sixty-five of the 208 outpatients were mentally retarded. The age of patients at their first visit widely ranged from 11 months to 50 years and 4 years were the largest proportion. We found that degree of co-operation for dental treatment of the patients was improved gradually by the serial treatment, even if they did not show the co-operative behavior during treatment at their first visit. We had only one case of general anesthesia, though the others were treated under local anesthesia as normal patients in our clinic., 今回我々は､全身疾患を有する患者の現状を把握するために､平成4年に小児歯科外来を受診した精神神経系疾患を有する患者を対象に実態調査を行い､以下のような結論を得た｡疾患別受診患者では､精神発達遅滞が165名と多かった｡来院患者の初診時年齢は､0歳から50歳に分布し4歳が最も多かった｡初診時には歯科治療に対して非協力的であっても､来院回数･年数を重ねていくうちに健常児と同様に協力的になる傾向が示唆された｡歯科治療は全般にわたっていたが､全身麻酔は1症例で､残りはすべて一般外来で治療可能であった｡},
