Since 1996, we have performed laser surgery and evaporation with KTP laser system which is easy to handle with little morbidity to treat for these lesions. Five cases of oral multiple and/or multicentric precancerous lesions were treated with KTP laser. These cases consisted of 2 males and 3 females with a mean age of 67.2 years. The lesions of each case were located in gingiva of the maxilla, gingiva of the mandible, alveolar mucosa of the maxilla, gingivae of the maxilla and the mandible, the tongue and the oral floor, respectively. Multiple lesions were occurred in two cases and rnulticentric lesions were occurred in one case, and multiple and multicentric lesions were occurred in two cases. Histopathologically, there were a epithelial hyperplasia, two mild and moderate epithelial dysplasias in each. Although the evaporation with KTP laser system was done in those cases, the power of laser and the distance between the tip of fiber and the surface of lesions were different in each case. The mean period of follow-up was for 1 year and 6 months. Although a malignant transformation was not seen in all case, the recurrences had developed in three cases during a mean period of 6 months.
