 note = {We performed clinical statistical observations on patients for twenty years, from October 1983 to September 2003, at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Nagano Red Cross hospital. Some of the results obtained are listed below. 1. The total number of patients was 64421 consisting of 28527 males (44.3%) and 35894 females (55.7%) : a male to female ratio of 1:1.3. Patients in their 20s accounted for the most visits 21.2%, followed by those in their thirties and then those in their fifties. 2. Patients living in Nagano city accounted for 68.0% of the total number of patients. 3. As for referrals, 25694 were sent to us from other clinics, while the remaining 8077 were referred from other departments within the hospital. 4. In terms of disease classification, 10.9% of the patients visited due to craniofacial deformities ; 6.6% due to traumatic injury : 32.1% due to inflammation ; 7.4% for oral mucosa disease ; 6.0% due to cysticlesions, 1.9% for tumors : 2.0% for tumor-like lesions : 12.3% for temporomandibular joint disorder: 1.4% due to salivary gland disease, 1.9% for neurological disease, 0.2% for blood disease ; and 4.6% for general dental disorder., 今回、わたくし達は長野赤十字病院口腔外科の開設した1983年10月から2003年9月までの20年間の外来患者について臨床統計的観察を行い、以下の結果を得た。 1.対象期間中の新患患者総数は64421名であり、性別は男性28527名(44.3%)、女性35894名(55.7%)でありその比は1:1.3であった｡年齢別では20歳代がもっとも多く13674名(21.2%)であった｡ 2.新患患者の居住地域は、当科の位置する長野市が43810名(68.0%)、次いで隣接する上水内郡5157名、須坂市2990名、更埴市2585名の順であった｡ 3.紹介医療機関は院外紹介が25694名、院内紹介が8077名であり、院内外からの紹介患者の合計は33771名で紹介率は52.4%であった｡また院外紹介患者の内訳は、歯科･口腔外科からの紹介が20989名(81.7%)、嫡正歯科1512名(5.9%)、歯科･口腔外科、矯正歯科以外の医療機関からの紹介は3193名(12.4%)で内科、耳鼻科、外科、整形外科、小児科の順であった｡ 4.疾患別では、発育異常･奇形･変形10.9%、外傷6.6%、炎症性疾患32.1%、粘膜疾患7.4%、嚢胞性疾患6.0%、腫瘍性疾患1.9%、腫瘍類似疾患2.0%、顎関節疾患12.3%、唾液腺疾患1.4%、神経性疾患1.9%、血液疾患0.2%、一般歯科疾患4.6%であった｡},
