The purposes of this study were to report on the implementation of oral care and to investigate its effect on the QOL of a patient undergoing radiotherapy, after partial glossotomy and neck dissection, over a time span that started before radiotherapy and ended at his release from hospital. In this case, radiation stomatitis was diagnosed when the patient received 10Gy radiation, but symptoms relieved when he received 40Gy radiation. In this case, aggravation ulcers and exacerbation of pain did not occur during therapy. Moreover, this patient did not develop aspiration pneumonia. Furthermore, during the study, oral health-related QOL as investigated by 38-items in the fields of \"Functional Problem\", \"Pain\", \"Uncomfortable Feeling\" and \"Difficulties\" did not show any deterioration.
