Patients and Methods: Nineteen radiation induced xerostomia patients who had received dental management to prevent and/or alleviant their oral complications were enrolled in this study. They were divided into MI group (conventional dental management using sodium fluoride solution with MI paste application) and non-MI group (conventional dental management without MI paste application). We investigated the root surface conditions for 6 months, and the change of the conditions was compared between two groups. Result: There were no significant changes of the root surface conditions for six months in the non-MI paste group. On the other hand, the root surface of the MI paste group gradually became recalcified within 6 months. However, statistically significant difference was not observed in the root surface conditions at 6 months after the study start between two groups.
