The results were as follows: Of all causative drugs, cardiovascular agents were the most frequent, followed by CNS acting drugs secondly and antibiotics thirdly The following lndividual drugs was arranged in order of frequency: ajmalin, halothane, cefems, and methyldopa. Characteristic clinical and histological findings were observed in each drugs. They could be generally divided into two groups of intrahepatic cholestasis and hepatocellular damage. The clinical course of the former type tended to be prolonged, and steroid was not effective to this type.
