Eighty-seven % of them had been hypertensive. The ages of the oncet of gait apraxia were significantly corelated to that of hypertension (p<0.01). The major neurological signs of BD were gait apraxia, dementia and urinary incontinence. Significantly dilated lateral ventricles (p<0.01), and diffuse periventricular low density area were characteristic CT abnormalities. The pathologic features of 10 autopsy cases were severe and diffuse arteriolosclerosis with white matter degeneration. Twenty-two cases with ventricular dilatation were received ventriculo-pentoneal (VP) shunting with dramatic improvement of gait apraxia in 41% of them.}, pages = {390--398}, title = {3) 高齢者の歩行失行の一原因としての Binswanger 病 : その臨床・病理と, 治療について(シンポジウム 加齢と臨床医学 : 高齢化社会への対応, 第428回新潟医学会)}, volume = {102}, year = {1988} }
