So, no special X-ray exposure machine is nessesary for using this FCR system. Imaging plate, which is the characteristic of this system, is composed of supporting plate and “photo stimulable phosphor”. The latter is a special luminescent material which stores X-ray energy and emits light proportional to stored X-ray energy when stimulated by visible light or infrared rays. FCR system is composed of image reader, image processor, image recorder and data recorder. X-ray exposured imaging plate is picturized by these image reader, processor and recorder, then stored as digitalized signals in the data recorder. Our clinical experience of FCR in the chest X-ray examination were presented. Clinical carecteristics of FCR system may be summarized as follows: 1) providing constantly wide latitude and same density image regardless of exposured X-ray dose. 2) converting X-ray image information into digital signals and storing these signals (allow retrieval and communication), 3) reduction of the X-ray exposure dose to minimum.}, pages = {147--152}, title = {1) 「Computed Radiographyの進歩」(シンポジウム 画像診断 : 最近の進歩, 第438回新潟医学会)}, volume = {103}, year = {1989} }
