Pathogenesis of this disorder is not fully clarified and there are many studies suggesting that abnormalities in humor al and cellular immunity might play some roles in disease chronicity and intractability of ulcerative colitis. More than 70% of the patients with ulcerative colitis had a certain disposition to have HLA-DR 2 antigen as an immunoresponse gene, and autoantibodies such as anti-colon antibody and lymphocytophilic antibody were detected in the serum of more than 70% of the patients. Anti-colon antibody played a role in antibody dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity against the colonic mucosal epithelium. Thymic abnormalitis in ulcerative colitis were demonstrated by pneumomediastinography and immunohistochemical study that there were present immature thymocytes and B cells in the ulcerative colitis thymus. Immunohistochemical study on the ulcerative colitis mucosa revealed marked increases in CD4 positive lymphocytes and IgG-containing cells. EB virus-transformed B cells from the colonic mucosa and peripheral blood of the patients with ulcerative colitis produced anti-colon antibody, probably due to an impaired suppressor T cell activity.}, pages = {541--548}, title = {潰瘍性大腸炎の免疫異常}, volume = {103}, year = {1989} }
