Each subtype of MDS proposed by FAB cooperative groups was not defined only by histological examination. There were a number of cases in which histological findings were not correlated with hematological data, especially with cellularity, count of megakaryocytes and blast percentage. Presence of proliferating immature precursors indicated high risk of progression to overt leukemia and short survival. The author considers that myelofibrosis is a heterogenous entity, and some of acute myelofibrosis is included in MDS. The author also shows schematically the relationships between acute megakaryoblastic leukemias and several myeloproliferative conditions. Histopathological examination of clot sections and bioptic specimens of bone marrows might provide much informations, and is required to diagnose MDS in addition to bone marrow smears.}, pages = {850--865}, title = {骨髄Clot標本, 生検標本の病理組織学的検討 : Myelodysplastic Syndromesを中心に}, volume = {103}, year = {1989} }
