 note = {Today, the definition of abortion is the loss of pregnancy in less than 24 gestational weeks, and that of premature labor is the delivery from 24 to less than 37 gestational weeks by Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Recent progress in medical electro-techniques has given a remarkable advance in clinical assessment and management of pregnancy. Also, patient with habitual fetal wastage due to immunologic etiology has been successfully treated by alloimmunization using partner's lymphocytes. In this paper, change in definition of abortion and premature labor, advance in diagnosis and management of abortion, and immunological habitual abortion were reviewed.},
