The specimens were collected during the years 1960-1976, under the instruction of the late Prof. Tamotsu Ogata. Without his enthusiastic effort, a collection of this quality could not have been established. Preparations were made mostly by Mr. Soujirou Maruyama. Unfortunately, the skeletons have been packed in a small room, and it was almost impossible to utilize these specimens. In order to make the collection accessible, we started to catalogue the specimens. To begin with, a thorough survey on the Primate specimens was made, and 49 specimens were confirmed. Efforts were made to determine their species but in some cases only genus were identified. As a result, 9 genera (Cebidap, 3; Cercopithecidae, 4; Pongidae 2) were confirmed among these 49 specimens.}, pages = {725--728}, title = {新潟大学解剖学教室所蔵の小片コレクション 脊椎動物骨格標本 その1 霊長類骨格標本}, volume = {105}, year = {1991} }
