Then, it is important for us to pay attention to these organs on ultrasonographic examination. Fetal kidneys can be identified after 14~15 weeks gestation and fetal bladder can be identified after 12~13 weeks gestation. Normal ureters commonly cannot be observed on ultrasonographic examination. The points of the examination are as follows. (1) Is the amount of the ammiotic fruid normal? (2) Can the kidneys and bladder be identified? (3) Are there dilatations of the ureters and bladder?
