Arrythmias were consisted of atrioventricular block (AVB) in 72 patients, sick sinus syndrome (SSS) in 53, and atrial fibrillation with a low ventricular rate in 12 patients. Symptoms and underlying diseases or associated diseaseses were diversed. Following the pacemaker therapy, symptom disappeared in most patients, but some had mild symptoms after the pacing. Patients with organic heart disease had heart failure after the pacemaker therapy more frequently. In 42 patients with SSS, 4 patients had dizziness or syncope after pacemaker therapy. One of them was confirmed to have vasovagal syncope as a cause of syncope.
