We identified elements that are important for raising student attitudes. Then, elements in science news that are helpful for students' raise their attitudes were also identified. Three issues of science news were created and delivered to 8th grade students (N=120). The survey results indicated that career connection to and self-efficacy of science is rather weak as the general tendency of the target students. The use of science news did not change student attitudes very much.
