The unit of "Electric Current and Voltage" was implemented though a context-based approach in a class of a middle school (context class, N=40). The other class was taught through the traditional teaching approach (control class, N=40). The unit was developed using "Active Physics" textbook in the US as a guide. The results indicate that the context class showed a significant increase in students' social relevance views.
