 note = {本稿は外国語によって専門講義を開設することの意義と条件について、20年近い教育経験にもとづいて考察をおこなったものである。相手の言葉で話すことこそが、何よりの友好の表現であるのは確かだが、受講可能な学生の幅を広げ、相互交流を充実したものにするには、やはり国際語としての英語が最良の選択であり、外国語による専門講義開設の意義はそこにあるというのが本稿の主要な論旨である。その際、条件となるのは、教師の中立性や、マイノリティ・相対的弱者に対する配慮、専門知識であることは言うまでもないが、多様な聴講者のいる外国語による講義では、そうした当たり前の条件もさらにハードルが上がる。本稿はこのように外国語による講義の意義と条件を主に論じているが、同時に外国語能力のもつ有効性と限界、それを使う際の自己認識・日本認識のあり方や姿勢、現実の場面での心がけ・失敗について、参考となりうるような事例を経験にもとづいて紹介したものである。, Based on nearly 20 years of educational experience, this paper analyses the significance and the conditions of holding lectures in a foreign language. In any circumstances, using the same language as the listener's whom with a discussion is established is the best way to express friendship. This study argues that lectures being held in English are ideal inside Japanese universities, so they can accept more foreign students. This is the most important significance for holding classes in a foreign language. This study insists on several conditions needed; neutrality of the teacher, consideration for the minority, and of course, academic ability. At the same time, this study refers to many useful episodes for when to use language skills.},
