The use of Making Things activities is emphasized in the Course of Study in Japan. However, the activities are often incorporated only in the beginning or the end of science lessons so that they are not linked to student understanding of the scientific concepts that students are learning. In this study, we developed a unit and a lesson in which Making Things activities and inquiry activities are alternatively incorporated. The results of the implementation of the lesson show that students were able to connect the scientific concepts with the mechanism of the device they constructed. Merits of incorporating two kinds of activities in the lessons are further discussed.}, pages = {331--342}, title = {「ものづくり」をいかに効果的に小学校理科授業に取り入れることができるか?}, volume = {13}, year = {2021} }
