MRSA was isolated from 60 of the 1297 patients (4.6%) and 47 cases (3.6%) manifested clinical infection. Incidence of MRSA infection was higher in male, particularly in cases with malignant neoplasm and in post-gastrectomy patients. Discharge from drainage tube and sputum were the most frequent samples from which MRSA was isolated. Increase of the number of MRSA positive samples per person was associated with the clinically apparent MRSA infection. Twenty-two patients had intraperitoneal infection, which was the most popular style of infection, and then pulmonary infection involved 19 patients, more than half of them were with esophageal carcinoma. All cases, having more than 3 focuses of MRSA infection, failed into MOF, and 50% cases of them were died. In order to successfully treat the patients with MRSA infection, it is important to detect MRSA as soon as possible before it spreads over multiple organs, and to choose appropriate anti-biotics.}, pages = {695--698}, title = {2)-③消化器外科領域における術後MRSA感染症(シンポジウム MRSA感染, 現状と対策, 第480回新潟医学会)}, volume = {107}, year = {1993} }
