 note = {One hundred and six patients who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) were reviewed. The rate of the operation utilizing the video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for chest surgeries was about 60 %. The success rate of VATS for spontaneous pneumothorax was 95 %. Lung tumors were also treated utilizing the VATS technique. VATS-lobectomy was done in five patients with lung cancer. Although it required long operative time and high cost, VATS-lobectomy will be one of the standard techniques for lung cancer in the future.},
