In this presentation, 21 outpatients who were diagnosed to be functional symptomes at psychosomatic clinic were examined using psychological tests (Cornell Medical Index (CMI), Self Rating Questionaire for Depression (SRQ-D)). Grade 4 and 3 in Fukamachi's classification of CMI were considered to indicate neurosis and neurosis suspected neurosis. 76 % of these patients was diagnosed as neurosis or neurosis suspected, and 56 % as depressive state by using SRQ-D. Only one patient was diagnosed to be vegetative dystonia.
