Five of 9 patients were treated with potentially curative resection. Tumor stage was pathologic stage I in one patient (11%), stage II in three (33%), and stage IV in five (56%) according to the General Rules for the Clinical and Pathological Study of Primary Liver Cancer. Tumor was located in left lobe of the liver in 8 patients (89%). The gross appearance of the tumor was a mass forming type in five patients (55%), a periductal infiltrating type in two, and intraductal papillary type in one. Two year recurrence free survival rate was 44.4%. In the group treated with potentially curative resection, three of four patients in stage I or II survived more than two years without recurrence, whereas all patients in stage IV died within two years. One patient of intraductal papillary type survived 8 years without recurrence. Our results indicate that potentially curative resection of pathologic stage I or II intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma provides long-term survivors.}, pages = {144--148}, title = {肝内胆管癌切除例の検討}, volume = {110}, year = {1996} }
