 note = {We diagnosed cholesterol embolism in 7 of 3594 patients who were undergoing left heart catheterization. Typical symptoms such as purple toe and renal dysfunction were observed 3 to 31 days after catheterization. All patients had multiple coronary risk factors. Anticoagulant therapy was implicated as a precipitating factor in 6 patients. Diagnosis in the early phase of the disease and discontinuation of anticoagulant agents were necessary in preventing the process of the disease.},
