The fetal body was exteriorized. A strain gage force transducer was attached to the intercostal muscles after performing cannulation of the carotid artery and trachea, applying cardioelectrodes, placing an occluder around the umbilical cord. And the fetus was returned to the uterus. Following a 3-day recovery period, the experiments of serial umbilical cord occlusion and release to make the fetuses acidemic were performed. Fetal thoracic movements were measured with strain gage force transducer and expressed as changes in electrical potential. Acidemia was produced in the fetuses in which the arterial blood pH fell from 7.37±0.06 to 7.19±0.03 with repeated umbilical cord compressions. A few intercostal muscle contraction was observed during cord compression. But significant changes of fetal intercostal muscle electrical potential were noted soon after cord compression was released. Fetal intercostal muscle contractions occurred at the same time as overshoot acceleration in fetal heart rate monitoring was observed. Fetal thoracic movements are induced by repeated cord compressions and they occur synchronously with overshoot acceleration in fetal heart rate monitoring.}, pages = {508--517}, title = {急性胎児仮死状態における胎児胸郭運動に関する研究 : 山羊慢性生理実験系を用いて}, volume = {110}, year = {1996} }
