 note = {Statistical observations were made on the number of operations performed in the Department of Urology, Sado General Hospital during the 3-year period from 1993 to 1995. A total of 448 operations were performed on 471 patients, including 24 outpatient operations in 24 patients and 464 inpatient operations in 447 patients.Of the 447 inpatients, 356 were males（79.6%）and 91 were females. The age distribution curve revealed a peak at age 70～79 years（34.2%）. The main methods of surgery were TUR-P（124 times）, TUL（49 times）, and TUR-Bt（47 times）. Endoscopic surgery made up 63.8% of the total operations.},
