Thirteen sacral bone tumors, 26 ilio-pubo-ischial bone tumors, which are so-called pelvic bone tumors, and 6 retroperitoneal soft-tissue tumors were included in this study. Cumulative three years survival rate of sacral tumor, pelvic tumor and soft-tissue tumor were 29%, 39%, and 83%, respectively. Limb function was evaluated by Enneking's system. That of sacral tumor, pelvic tumor and soft-tissue tumor were 17.5, 18, and 24.3, respectively. Post-operative vesico-rectal disturvance was observed only in sacral bone tumor. The main cause of worse prognosis was that safety and sufficient surgical margin could not be achieved anatomically in many cases of sacral and pelvic tumors. And the difficulties in the salvage of major nerves or in reconstruction of the pelvic ring and hip joint led to lower function. In conclusion, aggressive surgery could not improve the prognosis, and caused lower post-operative function. More effective adjuvant therapy should be developed in order to improve the clinical outcome of the tumors of the pelvis.}, pages = {7--12}, title = {2)骨盤部に発生した骨軟部腫瘍の治療経験(シンポジウム 下腹部腫瘍の診断と治療, 第512回新潟医学会)}, volume = {111}, year = {1997} }
