 note = {Outpatient clinic“medical examination for osteoporosis：bone checkup”has been conducted to detect patients with osteoporosis or bone and joint diseases in the university medical hospital, Niigata University School of Medicine. The subjects visited this clinic were 98 in female and 2 in male, 27 to 85 years of age.Examination in this clinic was the followings：1)questionaires regarding job, activity, health condition, food intake and menstration and reproductive history, 2)physical examination by orthopedic surgeon, 3)measurement of bone mineral density（L2-4）by DXA：QDR 2000, 4）X-ray；thoracic and lumbar spine, 5)blood and urine examination, 6)nutrition, and 7) evaluation of physical activity（in the department of rehabilitation）. 24% of subjects were diagnosed with osteoporosis in this clinc. This system is helpful to detect the patient with osteoporosis and to promote health care.},
