Totally 77 sports injuries were occurred in the season of 1996. 74 of the 77 injuries (96.1 %) were related to orthopaedic surgery. Injuries include the upper extremity and the body trunk occupied the 23 % of the orthopaedic injuries. On the other hand, injuries of the lower extremity was seen in 77 % of the cases and major lesion was ankle joint and knee joint in this order. In the professional athletes, medical demand is far stronger than that of amateur. Moreover, the front office also requrires early recovery and quick return of the athletes.
