Ischemic heart diseases are popular etiology among victims of sudden cardiac death during exercise in elder ages. Most sudden death in young copmetitive athletes are due to structural cardiovascular anomalies, with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy being the most common and accounting for about one half of the deaths, however, not a few deaths do not accompany with obvious heart diseases. Without some other additional occasion, sudden death may not occur spontaenously even though the exsitence of the heart diseases. Unfavorable conditions that induce inbalance of autonomic nerve systems, such as want of sleep and some kind of persistent stress, may affect the occurence of sudden cardiac death. To prevent sudden death during exercise, medical examinations before exercise and the regularity in sleeping habit are important.
