We examined 11,275 patients during this period, accounting for 22.9 % of all our hospital emergency patients. Of these, 1,807 patients were admitted as emergency cases, accounting for 9.6 % of all pediatric patients. The emergency patients ranged in age from 0 years to 24 years and 2 months. The average age was 4 years and 7 months, and the median was 3 years and 8 months. The majority of the patients were aged between 0 and 2 years, accounting for 43.1 %, followed by those aged between 3 and 5 years, accounting for 26.8 %. Among the various diseases, bronchial asthma accounted for the largest proportion of patients, followed by mild upper airway disease.
