Diabetic retinopathy has features of both microvascular occlusion and leakage. Treatment of diabetic retinopathy is consist with strict control of blood sugar, retinal laser photocoagulation and pars plana vitrectomy. Good metabolic control of diabetes delays progression of retinopathy. Laser photocoagulation reduces number of hypoxie retinal cells and release of vasoformative factor, therefore it prevents development of proliferative diabetic retinopathy. A pars plana vitrectomy removes vitreous hemorrhage and proliferative fibrovascular membranes. It is important that these treatments are performed at an adequate time to prevent severe visual loss of diabetic patients.}, pages = {614--620}, title = {5)糖尿病性眼合併症の治療(シンポジウム 糖尿病合併症の治療, 第535回新潟医学会)}, volume = {112}, year = {1998} }
