In the calculation of lost profits, cirrhosis is used as a reason to shorten the working life expectancy, or regarded as a factor to contribute to the death. So those eight cases are grouped into three types:I) “shortened working life expectancy”, II) “death contributory”, and III)“I-II combined”. The results of the ratable judgment of lost profits show that the way of type I or II is more advisable than that of type III in the estimation of compensation, for the twofold abatement of lost profits was made in type III. Among the four cases in which the working life expectancy was shortened, one carried out a valid estimation, using medical data properly, two cases misused it, and one showed no reason for its shortening. Valid estimation of traffic compensation requires proper understanding of cirrhosis including its convalescence estimation based on the latest medical achievements and survival rates. For this reason it is necessary to gather more of these cases and pursue the study of compensation medicine.}, pages = {693--702}, title = {交通事故の損害賠償における肝硬変症の賠償医学的検討}, volume = {112}, year = {1998} }
