A typical setting for SHS is a new or newly remodeled building with some type of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system. The characteristics of sick house syndrome are non-specific symptoms; irritation of mucous membranes and the upper respiratory tract, headache, lethargy, chemical sensitivity, allergy and so on. The main features of SHS are air contaminants and the ventilation system to remove them.
