 note = {Mycobacterium tuberculosis possesses multiple copies of an insertion sequence IS6110 on the chromosome. Based on the difference in the location and copy number of IS6110, each M. tuberculosis strain isolated from patients can usually be identified by DNA hybridization. This technique has widely been employed for molecular epidemiology of tuberculosis which remains a major public health problem in both developing and developed countries. In case of M. tuberculosis which possesses no or only a few copies of IS6110, other IS sequences such as IS1081 have been targeted in the analysis.},
