The system of radiological protection is recommended by the International Commission on Radiological Protection: justification, optimization, and individual dose and risk limits. Measured radiation dose in 12 patients who underwent neuroradiological endovascular treatments in the Niigata University Hospital ranged from 0.3Gy to1.9Gy, which was lower than the threshold dose for temporal epilation (3～5Gy), or cataract (2Gy).
