With the declining birthrate, school consolidation has become a problem that can occur in any region, and with school consolidation, many schools have been closed. Since the school is the largest public facility in the area and has become a symbol of the area and a base facility for the area for local residents, the school facility, which is the base facility for the area, will be maintained by utilizing the closed school in a new way. Various results are expected in order to revitalize the region, such as building vitality in the region, promoting the local economy, promoting connections and exchanges inside and outside the region, raising residents' awareness of community development, creating local employment, and maintaining the community. It is thought that not only areas where schools have been integrated and already closed, but also areas where schools will disappear due to consolidation will continue, and it is necessary to consider how to utilize closed schools and to lead to regional revitalization. In this study, we will consider the direction of the future closed school utilization project for regional revitalization by comparing the case of resident-centered closed school utilization and the case of government-based closed school utilization.
