内容記述 | Recent use of ciclosporin has remakably changed the kidney transplantation in clinical practice. We experienced 28 cases of kidney transplantations including 2 cases from cadaveric doners. Living-related doners were mainly recipient's mothers (60%). In contrast to it, 75% of recipients were males (sons). This indicates females are under pressure to organ donation. We performed 2 cases of cadaveric kidney transplantation from brain-death doners with beating heart. Doner's will was confirmed clearly by family. Brain death was diagnosed with strict criteria, and kidneys were extirpated with the highest respects to doner. Transplantation was performed under complete informed consents. Although living-related donations are very common in Japan, it will evoke some problems in patient's family. Kidney transplantation should be cadaveric as well as liver and heart. We believe that, if there is an uremic patient who hope to get out of hemodialysis therapy and there is a doner who kindly give his organ when dead, no one has a right to interfere with it. | |||||
