Band of noise units were scarcely selective for the center frequency, but more or less selective for the band width. In this experiment, we made quantitative analysis of band width selectivity of band of noise units. We found continuous distribution from high to low in the band width selectivity of band of noise units. The band of noise units of low selectivity both for the center frequency and for the band width were consequently responsive to the wide variety of sounds. The extreme of the low selective one may be the general sound receiver. Moderately selective ones are considered to play a role of rough detection of the environmental sounds.
